These are awesome to have in the kitchen. Brightly colored, and large, they are not only hard to lose, but also useful for many things.
Use as pot holders for the oven and stove, use to hold tongs on the grill, as a layer between the counter and a hot dish or plate.
One side is smooth, the other has texture for grip. I use these to grip lids and pop open, just like putting in your shirt and forcing a jar open.
They fold easily, make great no slip mats to put even cold and wet dishes onto. There is a hole in the top middle for hanging purposes. They also wipe clean easily with warm soapy water if they get nasty.
