It is 3/4" thick, 15" long, and 10" wide. So you can do apples, oranges, celery, carrot, cheeses, even a small ham or small turkey even!
It has a nice deep juice groove.
Bamboo is naturally anti microbial, but do make sure to wash with warm water and mild soap after each use, and air dry before storing away.
I have used plastic cutting boards all my life. They get cuts and nicks in them over time, and lead to bacterial growth if not properly scrubbed.
I cut and chop with no regard to my boards generally speaking. I go go go! After chopping potatoes, I felt along the board carefully. No cuts in the wood. No nicks either!
I love the contrasting wood grain design as well. It is a gorgeous piece of wood! I am a true believer in bamboo these days, beautiful and completely functional.
