The case zips shut, and the zipper itself is sturdy, as is the pull.

Two things bug me some. Not a lot, but some. First is the pull on the zipper is short, and a lilttle hard to grip. Second is the thimble. I'm paranoid about getting stabbed, and I think if I wasn't paying attention, the needle would hate me enough to go right through it to eat my thumb!
