This is a good book. Gripping, with some twists, turns, and even some, "Oh, of course!"
This book centers around Brooke, who is a water elemental. She is stationed in New Orleans. The rules of the elemental clans is you don't mix and mingle with humans. She broke that rule when she fell in love with Alex, a NOPD officer, and had his child, named Ella.
It's been almost 16 years, and Brooke finds out a group of Fallen Angels want Ella's soul. They want it by Halloween. She knows what she and Alex must do - break the rules again. All to save their daughters soul.
This is the first in a series by Elaine Calloway, called the Elemental Clans Series. There are 3 other books, plus two short stories (All available through Kindle here)
I highly recommend this book to young adults, and adults alike!
